In the framework of the monitoring of lemurs populations in Vohimana, in Madagascar, the National Museum of Natural History and the association l’Homme et l’Environnement signed a partnership agreement. In particular, the Museum provides its scientific expertise to the association and its eco-guides and helps them to establish monitoring methods for lemurs.
The eco-guides record each observation in their respective case report form, and note the behaviors observed, the weather conditions or even the habitat type where lemurs were seen. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the eco-guides continue their observations on a daily basis.
